Well, its not really a 'wreck' - but its just a glorified garden shed/studio.
I suspect agents market these type of things in the hope that the press will pick them up, and it generates more interest in their more 'normal' properties. And hey presto - its been in the Standard and we're talking about it...!

Please lets remember, the estate agents market it, the owners sell it. What else do you expect the estate agents to do, they will advise the seller as to market value, the seller doesnt have to listen to them and can advise them to sell it at that price.
That said, estate agents have been known to overinflate the price to get the property on and then reduce the price to a more realistic value.
I am not suggesting this agent has done that of course.

I think it's nice. Good size living room and bedroom, and quite a large, pleasant outside space. Very good condition too, no work to do. I'd choose it any day over a small flat in a block, which is about all you could get for the money in the area.

In answer to your original question - yes, the world is going mad, but not especially in regard to this property! At least it's clean.
