Has anyone ant news on the stabbing that took place on or around taymount Rae last night? A police officer came to ask if we saw anything, which we didn't. But aside from that, we have no idea whether it's safe to go into the streets!

When I was coming back from work around 10pm last night the area of the carpark beneath the apartment block halfway up Taymount rise was taped off with police tape and a police car was parked there with somewhat unusual red flashing lights on the roof.
I asked the police what was going on and they informed me someone was stabbed and that was all I learnt.
I must say I have recently noticed small groups of youths congregating in the area where the stabbing took place, sometimes around a car, they didn't give off particularly friendly or innocent vibes, Don't know if its connected to them or not.
I checked the police twitter feed last night for any mention of it but there was nothing.
I was actually curious as to whether it was a random or gang attack because I have to walk the road late coming home from work.

Well good to hear I didn't imagine the whole thing! I've asked the Met what went on, and though I guess they are limited in what they can say, hope they will respond if we should take special care. I will of course update forum members on what they have to report.

An 18 Year old man was found with multipule stab wounds that evening at Taymount Grange according to Police , he is in a critical condition in hospital , the Police were there till the early hours of the morning .

Very unusual for TR - wonder if it was gang related and maybe they were in the wrong area ? or was he chased up TR from London road

Media have spread the 'exciting' part of the story now. Unlikely to hear much more sadly. Would be good to know though.
