Just walked past an injured tabby cat by 51 Kemble. Had the dog so couldn't do much or check it over.

Feel bad but hope someone can do something for it soon.
I went to check when I saw your message (I live a couple of streets over) in case there was anything I could do, but too late for this poor cat, s/he was dead Sad Going to give my two moggies an extra big hug now.
Aww Sad
Thank you for checking. It wasn't crying or in any visible sign of distress when I saw it. Horrible time for any pet owner

Was no visible signs of attack, looked like it had been laid by a fence by someone. Im sure an injured cat who was able to move would not have settled where it was. So most likely a car I would say. Very sad indeed. Sad
we cant thank you enough for your kindness on checking our beloved cat.

Is there any chance that you picked her up and took her with you then called the council?

we are trying to trace her body so that we can have some comfort in having her back at home where she belongs and was so happy. we are waiting for the council to contact us back.

we think she had been chased by two new cats in our road that are apparently wild. she never went near the road, ever.

many thanks again for your kindness, it is good to know we have some nice people nearby. we are heartbroken at her loss and she still had many good years ahead of her.

phillip and paula,

xx
I don't have any info but just wanted to share my condolences for your loss.
Thank you
Hi Philip and Paula,

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost one of mine to a road accident a few years ago (not in FH - he was living with my mum at the time, out of London) and it was awful Sad

I didn't move her body - I'm slightly ashamed to say that I was too squeamish to touch her, beyond checking that she was dead. She was just lying on the pavement up by the fence and didn't look obviously injured from what I could see. I hope the council get in touch with you soon.

There are feral cats in the area and lots of foxes too. I try to believe that none of them would attack a pet cat, but maybe another cat did muscle into her territory and scare her.
