For anyone who is remotely interested in our plight, we are not going to Brittany/Cornwall/Outer Hebrides but instead are having a s/c family week in a nice cottage in Suffolk. Only ?450 plus around ?30 petrol plus food. I think that will leave us some change for some nice crab suppers and ice creams. However I still have a yearning for the Scottish Isles but think this is going have to wait until we get our free bus passes.....shame really as everyone should go there before they die....
Suffolk is lovelyand I am sure you will have a great time. I do agree with your comments re The Highlands , they are amazing and British.
No, No, NO-O-O!

The Highlands are way too gorgeous to be filled up with the whole of everybody in kagooles and their dogs and caravans and
bloody-damn-shortbread-buying, tartanising ways!!!

Keep out! LaughLaughLaugh
I don't fall into any of those categories, so can I still get in please?
