We were pondering converting our basement into an extra bedroom or storage area. It's currently a cramped damp space where we can't store anything as it goes mouldy! We're keen to stay in Forest Hill but moving to a bigger flat isn't an option due to the big rise in house prices.

I was wondering if anyone in the SE23 area had converted their basement and what your experience was?
