I was surprised to see the banner in Sainsburys car park advertising the FHWF is being sponsored Hunters and that they are saying they are moving to Forest Hill.
Do we really need another agent on the high street, soon the only things you will be able to by in the area is a flat, house, latte or cappuccino!!
All of which will require a second mortgage Wink
Apparently their new office will be at 10a Dartmouth Road which is a tiny shop next to the framing studio and century yard. I can think of worse uses for this shop.
All welcome as far as I'm concerned (unless the condom shop is thinking of returning). We are not short of empty units. If someone wants to invest in Forest Hill, welcome and good luck!
As one of the main economic actiivities in London is now selling Victorian houses to one another it is hardly surprising that there is a need for many estate agents.
Empty shop or estate agent. It's a no brainer really.
Condom shop?
Must have missed that one!
Sounds like a cool idea!
The UK's first condom shop!

Although business was good to start, unfortunately they couldn't keep it up. Blush

The site now has a planning application to become a pizza restaurant (see http://www.se23.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=10472).

Not sure they got the branding right for that!
Looks far too intimidating!

Maybe the owner was a little too cock-sure of his idea... Ohmy
Estate Agents, coffee shops, nail bars, whatever is going on in Forest Hill, no imaination!
Such a better class of nail bars these days, though, no?

Don't forget hairdressers. I think there are more hairdressers than estate agents and nail bars put together.

But let's remember that we also have a butcher, a haberdasher, a picture framers, a sweet shop/ice cream parlour, tattoo shop, clothing shops, a card shop, an optician, a chemist, two banks, a couple of dentists, a post office/ WHSmith, a jewelers, a deli, cobblers, second hand furniture, a number of restaurants and pubs, a ski and bike shop, a video shop, a florist, a gym, a swimming pool, a library, a museum, and a couple of art galleries, a few betting shops, cash exchangers, some charity shops, and a supermarket or two.

That makes it quite a diverse high street. Admittedly we don't have a green grocer, fishmonger, bakery, condom shop, or a cinema but we have plenty of nail bars and hairdressers that could be converted if the competition in these markets gets too tough!
I know Barclays Bank. But which is the other bank?
The second bank is Santander. But I still think of it as the Abbey National Building Society.
No shoe shop? At least there is no danger of shoe shop economy collapse.
