A number of trees have been uprooted in our area as a result of the storm. I'm told there are trees down in Forest Hill Road. One fell into Peckham Rye Park but the other is across the road. A lovely plum tree at the end of Montgomerie Mews on Dunoon Road has been uprooted and fell into the driveway of No 35 Dunoon Rd on top of their brand new (59 miles on the clock! Ooops!) car. Nobody hurt, thank goodness.
I've finally managed to persuade my husband not to cycle home this evening but if any of you are in town and thinking about it, it really is quite bad round here.

I've heard that London Bridge is closed due to debris on the line in New Cross and Syd. Can anyone confirm? Also if you know about Victoria.

Southern's website is definitely saying London Bridge is shut - no trains departing. Victoria is open, but severe disruption etc etc.

Commuting fun awaits!

I have been told that 200 trees came down in the borough.
