When a pub, that I believe Vic Reeves denies he's ever been in, changed its name 10 years ago who described it as "one of the stupidest names a British pub ever had". And went on to say it was a product of the "department of silly names obviously working overtime". For a bonus point what is a "Fewterer"? |

The Greyhound in Sydenham changed its name, but I can't remember what to. Is this what you are talking about? It is very different to the pub where Vic Reeves compered the Rubadub Club in late 80s and early 90s. He wasn't very pleasant when I raised the subject, a couple of years ago |

I always remember walking past the Lewisham Theatre (now the Catford Broadway Theatre) where Doris Stokes (the medium) was due to appear. The show poster said "Cancelled owing to unforeseen circumstances"! Loneranger, What words do you mean? |
