Hi everyone, I live in Camberwell at the moment, but am thinking of moving to HOP, to the Stillness Road area. It seems like a very nice road, what are people's thoughts? Anything I should know about? Thanks, KK |

Kingkong, I think it is a very nice area. The local primary school is very popular. If you move into the road by the school, you may find that it is difficult to get your car out at some times of the day. The parents tend to treble-park down the middle of the road in the one-way street. It only takes one car parked in the middle of the road to cause a traffic jam. By the way, have you escaped from the Horniman Museum? |

It was a polar bear that went missing from the Horniman wasn't it? Glad to hear you think it is a nice area, the road you are talking about by the school, is that one Brockley Rise? |

I've lived in that bit of Honor Oak for two and a half years and love it. A quiet, safe and unthreatening neighbourhood by London standards (I moved from Crackney so I've seen the other side). |

Kingkong, That road by stillness Road is called Brockley Rise. The jams only occur at the beginning and end of the school day and probably last about ten minutes. Occasionally, the police turn up and give out parking tickets. (But Brockley Rise starts from Stanstead Road.) I have noticed a tendency to park in the middle of the road in some other side roads in Brockley. |
