Perhaps Saddam Hussein? We can probably get our hands on a good sized "Saddam" at a knock down price if we pull our finger out.

I can just see him on the station forecourt, greeting drivers as they round the bend on the South Circular.

I know that he isn't / wasn't the best of people, but we could always get someone to do a new head, perhaps of Nelson Mandela, Mother Theresa or similar. I'm sure that this would be more cost effective.

Perhaps restore the union jack to the war memorial flagpole outside the church on London Road - across road from The Plough and just before the former TA barracks.

Perhaps a statue of Frank Bruno could be placed at the top of the hill. Cause after all he did open part of the Train Station and after the climb up the hill i think i would want to dance arround a statue of frank and punch the air!

(just like rocky!)
