Following a thread from a couple of weeks ago, Bar Equal are going to be serving pints from next week! So if you fancy a swift pint on your way home from Honor Oak Station, you know where to go now! And let's face it, it may not be my favourite place in the world, but I'd rather have a pint in there that in the Chandos or the General Napier! POst work pints, here I come! |

Nothing wrong with the Napper. Pints, bit of outside space, friendly staff, decent (cheap) jukebox, i could go on.
You're right about the chandos though. Lost a kidney in their once.... |

Amstel and Budvar (Blond & Dark). Very nice too, especially now you'll be able to have a full pint, rather than those half glasses you always see people drinking in Lou's Bar in Neighbours.
Hoppy - nothing wrong with the Napper apart from the casual racism of some of the clientele and the way everyone looks at you like you're from Fulham if you walk in on darts night without any 'arrows'. |

Never witnessed the racism - don't get me wrong, I certainly wouldn't be defending the place if I had. |

It may well be an isolated incident, Hoppy, and I'd hate to tarnish the pub's reputation, but it has definitely put me off going back in the short term. |

Alright, Hoppy. I'm not massively anti the Napier, but it's not exactly the best place to take the Missus for a drink, is it. Agree with JBird about some of the funny looks you get in there at times. Still loads better than the Chandos though.
Anyway, Budvar dark in Equal is a fair substitue for real ale, so Bar Equal it is. |
