Info about which Southern services will run during the industrial action on Friday 21 July/Saturday 22 July: http://www.southernrailway.com/news.php?id=53&u=in dex.php

Looks like there won't be a service to/from Forest Hill from Friday lunchtime until after 10.00am Saturday morning.

According to the strike map, Forest Hill doesn't look to be effected.

Isn't it only the pink stations that are having service at all? Maybe I'm looking at it wrong, but Forest Hill appears to be without service, as Blushingsnail said.

I'm with Eliza here. The non-pink ones should be running a normal-ish service. If we, however, create a good chinese whisper, home early on Friday!

This is extracted from the Southern page (http://www.southernrailway.com/news.php?id=53&u=in dex.php):

"After 11:00 on Friday, services will start to be terminated at stations short of their destinations and cancelled, with all services completely stopping between 13:45 and 14:30.

During the strike action Southern will run the following service:

Friday 21 July
A normal morning peak service will run with a few main line cancellations on Friday morning

A very limited service will run on some Southern routes after 14:30. The following half hourly services will run

[followed by a list of reduced services, none of which include Forest Hill]

There will be no services on any routes between 22:00 on Friday night and 10:00 on Saturday morning"

Of the pink stations on the map, the key says "Only these stations are served by a skeleton Southern train service."

I've interpreted this as meaning stations that aren't pink won't have a service at all. I'll try contacting Southern to ask for clarification on this.

Please do. I took the map to mean that the pink stations were the only stations effected by the strike.

It is not very clear.

Agree with Blushingnail interpretation and if in doubt, read the sign that's in the ticket office at FH station.

Good news! The strike has now been suspended.
