Hi

I just wanted to post something a bit positive and provide an alternative now that the beloved Golden Arches are no more......

(PS If we are not allowed to review then I apologise!)

- I went to Gingko retaurant on Dartmouth Rd for the first time since I moved here in July last year. I have to say it has never looked particularly appealing from the outside to me, but just happened to pop in last Monday on a whim and I have to say had a very nice time. the service was friendly, they have made an effort over and above the usual 'noodle chain' decor and the food was outstanding. My partner and I had some lovely chilli and salt chicken, veg tempura (delish and light), pad thai (just right heat wise) and malaysian noodles. They were all freshly cooked (the service was a bit slow considering we were the only diners in fact - only minus point!) We got free prawn crackers (always a + point for me!) and the whole lot plus 4 tiger beers came to £22 which I thought was a bit of a bargain. The waiter was attentive and it was areally nice dinner - it was a shame it was empty as I think this is a hidden gem! I'd be interested in hearing of other people's experiences as I was thinking it was going to be a run of the mill 'Tai Won Mein' type thing where you have to shovel have a vat of noodles down in 2 minutes flat before your table is wiped down! I will defo be going again!

Agree with this - Ginkos is good but rarely busy, a shame.

I've never been to Ginko's Eunja, but based on your review I will be booking a table for two at the earliest convenience, telling the missus that as a special treat I booked the whole restaurant for just the two of us.

I thank you.

Been going to Gingko with bloke since we moved here last Feb. Its definitely the best oriental food place in FH.
The other Chinese on Dartmouth Road is dirty, lights too bright and they always have the telly on.
Gingko is always friendly, great delivery service, good value and good choice of food.
We always sit in the window so as hopefully it will attract more customers for them!
Glad hear we won't be the only ones in there from now on!

we went there this week for the first time after reading this thread. The food was great and the waiter was very nice. We were the only people in there but a couple of people came in for take aways. I would definitely go there again, and order a take away as they deliver within 2 miles apparently. I don't know how regularly I would eat there though as veggie options rather limited, so it might get a bit dull. But the carniverous boyfriend was very happy with the experience!

My girlfriend and I have been there a few times and I would definately recommend it. Service is good and food excellent, and unbelievably cheap! Starter and main meal with the superb Chang beer came to under £10 each!

Deserves a good reputation.
