The biggest robbery in history and we are up there in lights........hope you all have an alibi for last night! I was buying curtains in John Lewis so I am safe at least... |

Hi Roz If they were involved they were incredibly stupid. Hard to believe criminals who organised the operation with military precision would be so stupid. |

Actually the robbery happened on Tuesday night. The whole thing seemed very clever but as likely as not they will be caught in due course, given the resources that will be put into this. I doubt whether the £50 million will be contributing to the economic regeneration of Forest Hill. |

Well not if they've been caught and don't get a chance to put it over the bar at the Dartmouth it won't. Coulkd have been interesting - spending boom in FH, champagne sales up 900%... |

Meant to post this on Monday but couldn't remember my password. Anyway, the weekend papers printed the names of the (original) two people who were arrested in Forest Hill. I'm reluctant to print their names here (especially as no mention has been made of them since they were released) but here's a link: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/ne ws/2006/02/26/nrob26.xml It's in the third paragraph from the end. |

Who, Mxxxxxx Dxxxxxxx xx xxxxxxx ROAD BROMLEY BR1 xxx and Mxxxxxxx Hxxx xx xxxxxxxx CRESCENT LONDON SE18 xxx? The amazing power of the internet. Confidentiality preserved seeing as they were released without charge. Handy if as a victim of crime you need to "visit" somebody though, isn't it. Any local antisocial elements reading may like to take note! |

Anyone having a haircut this weekend? The geezer in the e -fit photo on this link could do with a number 2. It ought to help him relaunch his career in ' Village People - the tribute band'. There was a news article recently about the standard of e fit photos and I can see what they mean here..... |
