Has anyone else received a swanky new calendar 2006 with attractive photographs of FH from Lewisham Council Housing Services team? This is a well produced article with high production values on heavy weight paper.
At the risk of sounding like a whingey old rat bag, am I alone in thinking this is an extroadinary waste of money?? Having been at the sharp end of Pinnacle's "service" for the past year and a bit, and experienced first hand how UTTERLY USELESS they are, I'm starting to think they are in the wrong business altogether. What with the quantity of newsletters, letters, questionnaires and now calendars, I'm starting to think they should abandon their housing services activities (which are clearly secondary in their business priorities anyway) and set up a marketing services outfit. I think they'd be quite good at that.
I moved hear from Boro' of Wandsworth in Oct 04. Wandsworth has the lowest council tax in the country. I think I got one newsletter a year, which came with the council tax bill. And quite frankly that was more than enough. Hmmm, I wonder if there's any correlation between the ten or fifteen fold difference in editorial output and the 100% increase in council tax I experienced when I moved to Lewisham....?
I know I sound like a moaning moaner. I kept quiet throughout all the housing newsletter series, but this calendar was the final straw. The postage alone for something that heavy must have been astronomical - and that's before you take into account the reply paid post card asking you to send back your feedback on how much you liked the calendar!!!! I don't want a bloomin calendar, I want my guttering fixed to stop the water penetration in my flat!!! Geees..... |
