Did my eyes deceive me or have we got an interesting addition to the local scene. I was very interested in what went on inside but the window was frosted over.

I'm v pleased it's there! 80% of women wear the wrong size bra apparently. I'm hoping it's goin to be a revelation!! I've always meant to do it, but never really got round to going to the west end to do it. THis is much more convenient.

Hurrah for the correctly fitting bra!

And given your posting, Brian, I'm glad the glass is frosted!! If you want to see what goes on inside, you'll have to make an appointment for a fitting. The tel number's on the door...

Think my partner will be popping along for a fitting. Over the weekend she tried using an online measuring service and was shocked to learn her perfectly formed size was unobtainable.

Brian,

Are you sure you did not steam up the window?

Does the shop have any vacancies?
Does it operate an equal opportunities policy?

I dunno about equal opps, but hopefully they offer equal cups!

I note they now have knickers in the window...

Can one say "knickers" on se23.com?

I guess, if you can say "bra" it's open season

Apparently most women have unequal 'opportunities' - much in the same way as one foot is always slightly bigger than the other. Bras should therefore also come in half sizes and have an option for an extra wide fitting and an insole.

I think this whole thread is rather gender specific. I myself have a dreadful time purchasing the right sort of underpants. The situation was made worse when M&S, the last bastion for mens' underclothes, switched suppliers some years ago after which sales collapsed. Now boxers just don't seem to do the job, briefs are exactly that and Y-fronts just seem to be too 'old man'. Perhaps other readers may be able to assist.
And as for asymetrics Roz, well that's another story.....

I would have thought BaggyDave would have baggy shorts to go with his baggy trousers...utter maddness.

As a wearer of Pierre Cardin briefs since 26th December, I can recommend them for snugness. Unfortunately they have err... flawed access or don't wearers of designer clothes go to the loo?

Why does it seem there are more men than women on a thread about bras?

Loneranger, I sincerely hope that you have changed/washed those Pierre Cardins since Dec 26th.....as regards your last question, I have absolutely no idea....

Baggydave, are you sure you are looking in the mens underwear section of M+S?

Sherwood - there are loads of Buxom women in FH, do you walk around with your eyes closed?? It's a fantastic new shop and can't wait to pay them a visit.
Find it so amusing the place has caused such interest!

I am indebted to the many contributors for enlightening me both on ladies undergarments and my own problems sourcing underpants. I am so relieved that I have now been able to come out in the open (no puns intended) and invite all contributors to a drink and my local, the Moor Park Tavern (Wood Vale) this evening

And a thread without one mention of Sainsburys

Apparently women are getting bigger in all departments including this one, and we are also not wearing the correct size. Joking apart, failure to provide support can lead to back and posture problems, and also affect breathing. If too tight then the ribcage can't expand properly. Too small and there can be tissue damage. A number of pregnant women do themselves a lot of harm by not paying attention to this issue.
This shop is good if it can increase awareness of these issues.

Deedee,
My girlfriend gets very jealous if I look at other women. I will have to take your word for the outstanding attributes of our beautiful Forest Hill women.

I got a bit confused and went first to the thread called ' speed bumps'. Where exactly is this shop, as I have not been able to find it and have spent the last two months looking for it.
I assume it is still in business and hasn't become a fast food business or ANOTHER EMPTY SHOP?

bustifully yours ( you wish)

It's near 'Deja nu' that trendy second hand furniture shop. Can't remember what else is in that row of shops. Not far from Bar Question I think...
It's still trading.

Loneranger,
I am confused!
Is the plan that well-endowed customers of this store will walk along the South Circular and slow the traffic down?!
