Hi,
I'm Ian from Ringmore Rise behind the Horniman. I desperately need someone to lay stone floor tiles and plaster the walls in my bathroom - we've been let down by so many people who have a look then can't be bothered to quote, or don't turn up when they say they will, you know the story. If anyone out there can help or could recommend anyone who might I'd really appreciate it, things are getting desperate re my girlfriend!
Call me on 07976 701 702, 020 8291 2061 or ian@ianmacaulay.com

Good luck Ian! I hope you find someone good, reliable and soon, for your sake <smile>
I am female myself, and know how "our species" can be!
I also will be looking for some home-decorating and other household jobs/work help, after the New Year (some months in)
I am not rich - far from it - but will save some money for some experienced help with some projects (whole flat needs re-decoration initially - most of which I will do myself, as I haved in previous years - I am not experienced but know how to wield and use a paintbrush at least (thanks Dad) and much of (not all) the rest with aid of friend/s)
I saw somewhere, mention of a website regarding recommended (Council recommended I think?) people/businesses for home decoration/building services?I don't know where now <cries> I don't know if it was on this forum, another or via the Lewisham Council website, now. Can anyone post the information here/again?
It would be great for those of us needing value-for-money help and guidance. Non rip-off/scam merchants etc. bearing in mind how some prey on the elderly and vulnerable, trusting people etc.
I know personal recommendations for FH/local business/es are not allowed on here but an official link/information would be great.

Thanks in advance

I've got a v good plasterer - he's been working in my place for several weeks, but has now retired for Christmas to give us both a break. Don't think he does flooring though. I'll email you his number
