I work here in Forest Hill as an aupair, and would really like to get in contact with other aupairs in the area?...

Hi Jeanette
where are you from?
There is an italian au-pair living with me in Forest Hill, I am sure she would love to make some friends

Aono - perhaps it's the cynic in me but I think you should perhaps find out a little more about "Jeanette" before handing out your au-pair's details to a faceless stranger on a website!! Perhaps find out what family she works for and have a chat with them.

I apologise to Jeanette if I appear rude and she is in fact who she says she is but the fact is "she" could be a 50 year old truck driver from Dundee for all you know.

Thanks for your reccomendations.
I could be a 70 years old maniac as well.
That's why we have exchanged emails to get to know us better before deciding to meet.
I agree with you anyway, it is always better to be carefull when meeting people from the net.

How do you find an au pair girl? Are there agencies in Forest Hill?

I do not like agencies too much, they are too expensive and in my own experience not that good
I put ads in websites, if you search on google, there are severals that let you post ads for this, and for free too.

I used to live very close to the Girl Guides shop in Brum. Never seemed to have any on sale when I passed by. Dunno if there is an au pairs shop

The Au Pairs were also a great punk group from Brum but that was another era.

Seem to be lots of au pairs from central and Eastern Europe round our posh estate - will ask whether they get together and how they are found.

For my dog actually! I don't have any children. But I do have a dog who would like more attention than I can give her.
