I've just come back from Trafalgar Square where I witnessed a great sight - London being awarded the 2012 olympics! What effects, if any, do you think this will have on Forest Hill? For starters, I guess Ken has no excuse to back out of the East London Line extension now...

Anybody have any idea of how long it will take to get to the Olympic Park via ELLX? Or a likely B&B rate for tourists who want to stay in a civilised part of London?

Fantastic news. My rate will be lots of $'s for Americans, except the ladies synchronised swimming team, who can stay for free.

And maybe a discount for the female volley ball team too? Suppose you need extra strong beds for the weightlifters.

It's just amazing! Can't believe the people who are already beginning to moan about it. "It will cost too much, can't we find a better way to spend the money...." Why can't these Victor Meldew get a life? They wouldn't appeciate something amazing if it hit them in the face!

Not moaning, just a bit of harmless fun

What fantastic news that we have the Olympics for 2012. Such a contrast today! I cant believe that two days can be so very different elation followed by shock and horror.
