The people who have organised the Tsunami Fund Raising concert and auction on the 30th of January this year have been since asked many times how much has been raised, what happened behind the scene etc.
Please find all information at http://www.ryez.co.uk/tsunami/tsunami.html
There has been a long list of participants. More than 60 artists and residents of South East London and Forest Hill have worked hard on this successful event.
It makes us feel that more will be done in the future and that we will come together again to help efficiently.
No doubt that this team could also organise great events locally. Watch this space!

Its a pity that Latitude has gone. It was a great venue for this sort of thing. Anyone know why they went? The turnover of business in Forest Hill is very great at the minute.I see they are being replaced by a pizza parlour.

Almost full circle. There used to be a superb Italian Restaurant there many years ago. Its probably too much to hope that it won't be just a 'Pizza Parlour' and becomes a proper Italian Restaurant.

Well from the little piece on the other Forest hill website it looks as though the idea is very much that it's to be an Italian restaurant and pizza bar.
I have to say I'm not surprised that latitude closed - it never quite seemed to make up its mind as to what market it was going for or indeed what kind of food it was going to serve. It was always more or less empty any time I went in - let's hope Aceri doesn't suffer the same fate.
