A few changes have been made to the forum recently. The first, as youŽve probably noticed, is the facelift which hopefully aids usability.

The second is the addition of a search facility (see top-right corner of page), useful now that we have over 3000 messages.

Also, a username/password combination is now required for posting. Email your choice of username (letters and/or numbers but no spaces) to info@se23.com and youŽll receive a password.

Additional features will be enabled soon for those who have kindly donated towards se23.com running costs. More details to follow.

In general the Forum upgrade is for the better but wasn't it possible to have the dates in the British rather than the American format!

Have to agree with you on that one - my work involves me dealing with a lot of Europeans who all seem to prefer the American system. It's one of my pet hates (why change something that worked perfectly well in the first place? And what's the deal with 'drive thru'...It's drive through, for goodness sake. I could go on and on and on). It now seems to be seeping in to this country by the looks of it. Other than that, the website is certainly better for the recent changes, although the orange, yellow and blue background that you get before you post a message is like something out of the '60s. C'mon, Dave, own up, did you have a hand in revamping this site?

Ok, the date format is now British. It was more of an oversight than an aspiration to appear American. Y'all.

It is still the 1960s

Isn't it?

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, Dave, but I'm afraid that the 1960s are a distant memory. You might want to sit down before taking in the following, as I'm sure that it will come as a shock to you...The Beatles have split up, Harold Wilson is no longer PM and Crossroads has been cancelled. On the plus side, in the year 2005 we have Girls Aloud, Tony Blair and Holby City. So not all bad.
