Has anyone else noticed that 2 and 4 car trains which come into forest hill station stop at the very far end of the platforms, far away from stairways/entrance. I've contacted southcentral trains. Apparently, all that is needed are a couple of marker signs on the platform which would let the driver know where to stop if he was driving a two or four car train. With all the poor service we need to take now, you would think that they would at least invest a few quid in some marker signs. Complaints on this and many many other train related issues should be directed to: http://www.southcentraltrains.co.uk/talktous.html |

Trains going in both directions stop at the end of platforms in order that the driver can see the closed circuit cameras which help him/her see when all the passengers are on board. Better this than leave passengers behind i say. |

That's what they do now.Once you know where the front of the train is going to stop, it would seem to be obvious from the announcement that "this train is formed of X coaches", where you can reasonably expect the train to be. |

I'm afraid you're wrong about that. Drivers of two car trains usually stop at the far end rather than the four car stop. Maybe you're more attuned to where the train will decide to stop, but I've seen grans fall on the platform trying to reach the train before it takes off. |

They should stop sending such ridiculously short, overcrowded trains: that's the real problem. |
