The sad news that one of the most likeable local councillors, Peter Dawson, has died, has been announced. |

I knew Peter for little more than a year and was always very taken with him- he was a very nice friendly man with a great sense of fun. Its amazing he managed to do what he did whilst enduring what must have been a difficult illness. He will be very much missed.Sincere condolences to his family. |

Peter was a much loved and respected friend and colleague. At a personal level, he was of great help and support to me last year during my own very serious family events, as is David Whiting. We have lost a fine member of our Forest Hill councillor team in Peter, and he will be very much missed. On the practical issue of Peter's council casework, David and I shall be picking up any outstanding items that we can identify in order that his family is left undisturbed, and their privacy respected, at this very difficult time. |
