Does parking in London make your blood boil?
Have you received a ticket, been clamped or even had your car towed away when you’ve actually parked completely legally?
Or is it impossible to park outside your own house because of commuters using your street as the train station car park or to avoid the congestion charge?
Are you, or were you, working as a parking attendant and want to set the record straight or tell of the abuse you suffered from an irate public?

Does the post in London make your blood boil?
Have you received any junk mail, been missed out or even had your registered post taken back to the sorting office when you’re actually running to the door with your trousers round your ankles?
Or is it impossible to post outside your own house because of tramps using your post box as temporary accommodation or to avoid the congestion charge?
Are you, or were you, working as a post man and want to set the record straight or tell of the abuse you suffered from an irate public and his Yorkshire terrier?

Does weather in London make your blood boil?
Have you bought an umbrella, been cold or even had your clothing soakedwhen you’ve actually dressed completely legally?
Or is it impossible to sunbathe outside your own house because of commuters using your garden as the train station car park or to avoid the congestion charge?
Are you, or were you, working as God and want to set the record straight or tell of the abuse you suffered from an irate public?

Do people who make FH out to be a crime infested no go zone make your blood boil? Are you fed up of reading their ill informed posts? Does it annoy you to see people making sweeping generalisations such as 'I saw a beggar the other day and there are no beggars anywhere else in London - only in FH'? Do you wish they would go away and get a job writing propaganda for the Lewisham Independent instead?

If so, add your comments to Rob's 'Positive developments' thread and hopefully they will eventually get the message.

Does people making sarcastic and provocative comments like Newman make your blood boil. Particularly when Toffee Jim and I (with help of a few friends) have the monopoly on this. If so check out most of the recent threads.

And does the fact that I once saw a foreign looking gentleman (well he had a shell suit on anyway) selling counterfeit ciggies count for a FH has gone to the dogs moan?

And the well dressed young guy with his scooter outside Tescos who's run out of money for petrol is a con, as is the similar guy by the petrol station in Savacenter and the one who follows you home from the station who needs to get back to N London (well if that is true I'd happily put him in a taxi. And the phone message from the 'states that press 9 as you've won a prize is as well - you'll get a lovely inflated phone bill with that one.

But what is the Lewisham Independent. On my posh estate we have 'Living South' that has plenty of positive things to report on - the excellent private schools, cosmetic dentists, childrens' entertainers and out of school activities, Linda Barker, and house prices. Newman you've got me started on winding people up but half way through I've started to give out public information, do you have this effect on everyone?

It would seem so, Dave. The posh estate may well have 'Living South', but like TJ, I hail from the wrong side of the tracks and so have to make do with the Lewisham Independent and its tales of gangsters, single mothers living in mansions at the tax payer's expense, muggers, corrupt politicians, teenage hooligans and heroin addicts. If you haven't seen it, beg, borrow or steal (well, this is crime riddled FH after all) a copy - it's genius comedy.

I get Living South Newman but I find reading the freebie leaflets advertising pizza delivery rather more edifying. And can I just point out that we don't come from the wrong side of the tracks at all. We just live in Forest Hill, and a vibrant bit of it at that. We should be proud of where we are unlike the moaning minnies from the Upper Dulwich Bottom estate.
