Has anyone had the tyres slashed over the last couple of days, I live in Hurstbourne Road and was told there has been a slasher around.

I am afraid this happens from time to time. Very hard luck.
I regret society has some very sick members

I moved to this area 3 years ago and since then my car has sustained damage from vandals twice. String them up I say! However, in defence of Forest Hill, I have had similar experiences in several different parts of London - Car crime and vandalism appear to be universal.

Happily in my neck of the woods I haven't suffered from vandalism, the locals are much more considerate carefully prising off my near side mirror (obviously my car is seen as spares). Similarly they nicked my hub caps, but one of these was damaged. So when I had them replaced they of course had to take another one. What is it like on your side of the tracks Toffee Jim?

Has anyone ever had a corkscrew put through their petrol tank, and petrol stolen? Unfortunatley I can say I have - last night in Forest Hill.

Obviously its a big pain and expensive to repair, but I ask because it seems a bit more malicious than your average car vandal - windows and tires were not slashed or put through. Has anyone ever heard of this happening before?

Fuel line cut on my bike whilst parked overnight in my front garden. All for probably no more than 2 litres of fuel, which by the looks of things, was subsequently dropped on the tarmac outside my house, melting the tarmac.

Have you reported this to the police, unhappy motorist?

Certainly have Sherwood - they were very helpful, but realistically there is nothing they can do except give us a crime ref. number for insurance purposes.

I do not own a car and do not drive but feel for all of you who do own/drive.
I do dislike, intently, all the car crime, wether it be to destroy others cars who THEY are jealous of, or steal from etc.
I also hate all the other crime, but, thats not for here or now.
I would urge anyone who sees any crime taking place. car or other - to report it to the police though - like I have done.
Even if you see something after the fact, report it. All will help to make FH safer/more vigilent.

Thankyou

I was disturbed last night (in Hurstbourne Road) at about 2.00 a.m. by a loud crash. Then I saw 2 men run from the direction of Vancouver Road to Woolstone Road. I saw this morning that a car window had been broken during the night.
