356 bus route

The stop outside the Forresters Pub, rear exit to Forest Hill station, there used to be a 356 route timetable, does anyone know why the timetable has been removed and replaced with an route map?

It's a real pain getting off a train (sometimes late in the evening) then hanging round waiting to see if a bus arrives. It's especially annoying given that the next stop down is pretty much in complete darkness but does have a timetable.

Please can anything be done to rectify this? or an explanation given as to why it's been removed?

The winter months are coming and I really don't want to be stood around waiting in the cold and/or dark for a bus.

Thanks Johnnyb7. The link didn't work for me straight off but I found it on the website. Thanks again.

I'd still like to see the timetable back at the stop. It'll save me and the other passengers having to carry a copy of the timetable around.

Does anyone know why it was removed or does anyone know if we can get the timetable put back?

Seems so illogical to have removed it.

I will raise your query through the transport liaison committee. This is a meeting of Lewisham Councillors and Officers with all the transport undertakings who serve the Borough.

Many thanks for raising this point.

Thanks David, that's great.

When is the meeting?

And as we are on the subject of that particular corner of our beloved "village", would it be possible to have a pedestrian crossing around there? Everyday hundreds of people cross the road and risk their lives to cross to the other side.

Thanks.

I agree with Bigbravebear that a pedestrian crossing would be most welcome on Perry Vale.

It would also be nice to have double yellow lines along at least one side of the road. There are often a large number of cars parked there for functions and this makes it difficult for cars and buses to pass each other. There is a car park within 50 meters.

...the car park is largely empty also on the weekends. How about if this was free for use or a nominal fee was paid?

Personally I think double red would solve the issue of congestion in that area of Forest Hill, turning into Waldram Place on a bus or in a car can be a nightmare.

Any news on the bus timetable information David?

David, many thanks for your help with the bus stop.

Any input on the parking/congestion?

Thanks again.
