i have not seen anyone yet mention the planning proposal for the top of taymount rise just to the left of taymount grange. Im really concerned since if it was to be allowed to go ahead the ugly 4 storey block of flats would create a seroius problem for all the residents in taymount rise. This greedy planning proposal would mean that for probably an entire year or more there would be noise and dust pollution, unbearable parking problems, and continuous blocking of taymount rise with heavy vehicles etc, and let me just mention for those of you who dont know, there is only on exit at the london road end! There is further a real issue with regards to its impact on wildlife. Does anyone have any conatcs with any nature conservation groups etc. that could check this propsoal out, please. What are your views in general? |

Hi Taymont Rise Resident I symphasise. The local authority pushed by HMG seem to want to build in every nook and cranny not built on.Lewisham is already too crowded. |

TRR I dont understand, how much is it really going to effect you once the building is complete. It seems to me that you are upset because you think that it is your patch of land. There is a serious shortage of housing in London and if the land is available then that space should be made useful. What i would like to know is how does it effect you, really? |

Ginko London is already more populated than it was 20 years ago. Surely we need our little green spaces. I am sorry there is a shortage of houses but is rather like road space the more you build the more is needed. We have to somehow restrict the growth of polulation for everyones sake. |

Sterilisation all round then?! Put something in the water? We do need to keep our green spaces, but let's admit it's not really something we're short of round here. Our flats stand in fairly substantial grounds which cost a fortune for the gardening. I wish we could sell a bit off! What we should be concerned about is the appearance of new stuff - let's have something decent looking rather than the usual rubbish. There's plenty of good architecture from all ages in FH - except recent stuff. Not being Prince Charles here - some quality modern architecture would be good. |

Ginko i would have to agree with TRR, it is a very difficult place to get around, becuase it is so narrow, even 5 mins would be a pain in the ****. But if you don't know, there are a couple of great looking homes there already, that would fetch a lot of money as it is, i don't have a problem with new buildings as long as they are sensetive to thier environment but there is no need to demolish perfectly good homes in order for a coulpe of careless, greedy people wanting to cash in on the local property boom at the cost of a great many people. |
