Hi there,

I've lived in HOP for about 6 months and I am now looking to move to FH. Can anyone let me know what's hot and what's not in Forest Hill?

I've seen sites that go on about how nice it is, but I want to hear the views from people who actually live there! :)

Having looked over the previous postings, have there been any developments with bars / restuarants / pubs / cafes / cinema etc? What's in the pipeline?

thanks for any info,

Hi Cat
If you having been living in Honor Oak then I would not have thought F Hill would be another world to you.

Thanks for the input Brian. I have lived in HOP and it has it's fair share of bars restaurants etc so I haven't had to venture out to FH before. Any information from anyone greatly appreciated.

HOP is perhaps a bit better off as it doewsn't have the blight of the South Circular running right through the middle of it. There are a few restaurants though, all decent, and a few pubs, to suit varying tastes. Clapham it ain't though - hence why it is about half the price.

Clapham, although in parts very pretty, I generally feel is quite overrated. The common always looks like it needs a clean. The bars are expensive and too 'trendy' and the houses / flats are extortionate. In fact I could be talking about any part of London... :-)
