Children's party venue in Forest Hill area - any recommendations? Looking for somewhere to hold a party in December, a church hall or something like that would be ideal, but any suggestions welcome. I've just moved into the area so no idea where to start looking.

The ones I can think of in order of proximity are:
Forest Hill Boys's School gym on Bampton Road, they do a multi-sports party
Church Hall in St Bart's church on Westwood Hill
Grove Centre hall in Jews Walk
Mini gym in Crystal Palace park

Really depends on what you are looking for but the above are good for boys about 4 or 5 and you provide your own food.

I think the Labour Party still rent out the ground floor of their HQ at 43 Sunderland Road- try calling them - think the number is 020 8699 2001. If not some party members may correct me! There is also the Quaker meeting room opposite and/or also the Bonhoffer Church on Dacres Road, near the footbridge, and finally the church at the start of Devonshire Road (Forest Hill end). Question Bar rent out their basement function room for reasonable rates but not sure how practical for a childrens party.

Good luck,
