Hi

I am trying to get a original 1930's front door from a house on Westwood Park, anyone have suggestions as to where I may be able to get a match...I assume locally is the best bet?

I'm glad you are putting originality back in, as so many people seem to be taking it out and hence devaluing their properties ( and my morale!)
Can only suggest Lassco in Bermondsey for reclaimed goods- alternately you could have one made to a design,- Art with Glass in West Norwood can make the stained glass.

The previous occupants have replaced the original door with a full length flemish glassed 1970's horror door, so we really want to try and get a sympathetic match....thanks for the advice!

I had the stained glass in my front door re-furbed by Art With Glass - the results were excellent, and more secure.

Try the Old Bath House another salvage place, 65 Bell Green Rd close to SavaCentre (tel 8778 6909) they also have doors and other things you didn't know you needed.......

Cheers for the info all...I am off to the Old Bath House to have a look. Les, further you your posting - as an estimate, what would you expect to pay to get a stained glass re-done?

Old Bath House rocks

I go to Newport in Gwent for my stained glass, happy to give details if after a year anyone interested (1/4 price of London. Reclamation yard next door.

New reclaimed door place in Perry Vale (unknown). Places in Kirkdale seem to change every week. Place in Penge as well.
