Bird in Hand Pub - does anyone else have problems with the rowdiness
outside every day? I find it quite intimidating to walk past there and down the high street at times especially at the weekends. I notice this pub is not on the pub crawl being organised - do others have a problem too. Councillors is there anything that can be done ie have the the tables and chairs away so they are not so inclined to linger outside for so long?

I think this is a consequence of the smoking ban to be honest- smokers are now outside for longer and I've noticed people staying outside pubs for the entire evening for this reason. Don't know what'll happen when it gets colder- perhaps the Nicorette will have kicked in by then! Its boistrous but I don;t personally find it that intimidating . I think they are entitled to have the chairs and tables outside as long as they are on their property, etc.

Yes. Those working class rowdies really should stop lingering. Make all pubs safe from such riff raff. Like the Dartmouth Arms. Jesus wept.
