Hi all

I'm new to this forum and new to Forest Hill, having only just moved in last night! Does anyone know of any places within Forest Hill or nearby that offer free wifi internest connection?

I'm looking forward to getting stuck into FH life!

Hope someone can help. Thanks!

I think you will struggle to find a free wife in FH, they tend to end up costing a lot of money.

Oh sorry, misread that.

There are at least two - they'll only cost you the price of a coffee or drink. Both the Dartmouth Arms and The Honor Oak have free wi-fi for customers.

I am not aware of any other "hotspots" around here, but would be interested if others do.

Forest Hill library, before its temporary closure, offered free wi-fi, as do all Lewisham libraries.

Welcome to Forest Hill amigo. I think the Wetherspoons offer wi-fi as well.

Hi Roz Basically Wifi is a wireless network, this means you can access the internet for free at some places using your laptop. Some venues, including pubs / bars have these 'hotspots' as an added attraction.

Roz, made me laugh.

Sort of related to this thread, has anyone seen the advert for free laptops with a certain high street shop in conjunction with a certain broadband provider?

Sounds like a good offer. Any comments anyone?

I thought wifi was some pungent cheese.

Thanks guys!

Well I've nearly had a week in my new gaff, and it's been....'eventful'! Mostly good though (apart from getting a brick thrown through my hire van window and locking myself out of the flat - that was an expensive day ...).

Am loving the friendliness of everyone (exccept the brick-thrower) and the Horniman Gardens and I am an almost permanent fixture in the Dartmouth Arms til I get my broadband sorted out!
