A proposal for a 5 storey building between 31-51 Perry Vale and 1
Hindsleys Place has been received by the council and all the near
neighbour like me has been asked to comment before the 27th of August
2007. In general I'm not too keen of having a 5 storey building built
behind my property (at the moment there are only low rise constructions
on site), but I can't really imagine what the impact will be once
completed. On the internet you can find maps and floor plans, but there
is no 3D image to have a better idea:

Does anybody have a comment on the plan?

For me obviously the fact that it will block most of the view from my
flat is the main concern.
In general I think a 5 storey building is totally out of scale with the other building in the area.

Planning permission was granted to the proposed building in November 2006. A number of local residents objected at the time, as well as the Forest Hill and Sydenham Societies. These objections were able to achieve some improvement but the development was always likely to be allowed. For further discussion from the time see ../1065/829.html"#f7f7f7">

Yes it is out of proportion for the area and personally I would prefer for the application to be modified. Hopefully a large development will boost that side of the station as we all know it is much required.
