I have a fridge and freezer going spare as I have just replaced mine. The fridge is an under the counter Whirlpool fridge, white in colour the handle is a little loose. The freezer is a beige Hotpoint under the counter freezer. If anyone would like them or more information please drop me an email me fridge.freezer@hotmail.co.uk, all I ask is that whoever wants them collects them from me. Gemma |

If you can't get anyone to take them then the Council will collect for a fee of £15 each. Alternately you could always leave them outside your property and the local tooth fairy will come and collect them overnight, as happened with our washing machine after we'd paid the Council fee... |

The tooth fairies (scrap metal dealers) are not interested in fridges/freezers in my experience. You could try freecycle. |

The council fee is actually £15 for any 3 items, so you can get them both collected for that (if you don't have a third item maybe speak to your neighbours who might be willing to pay £5 to get rid of an old item). |

Thanks for everybodys comments. I tried freecycle this morning and they have both gone this evening - very impressed. Roz, the tooth fairies also took our washing machine when we left them out for the council to collect! |

Fridge and Freezer? Geezer?? Wrong thread. Check out the British Heart Foundation second hand shop in Olde Kente Roade, they probably take decent stuff FOC. |

Oooh how exciting, the quality of our community web site meets that of the posh one down the road: http://www.eastdulwich4rum.co.uk/forum/read.php?9,39058,41812 (note useful discussion on getting rid of electrical items, including my extremely helpful suggestion, so please do not remove!). "oh BD, how have we managed without your most helpful advice in the last few weeks?" "It's fine SE23, just doing my job, no need for thanks" |
