Hi everyone,

I'm currently looking to buy a property in Honor Oak and wanted to know what people thought of it as an area. we're looking for a garden conversion flat and wondered what people thought of the area around honor oak park road, near the station on those victorian terraced roads around there? around lessing street etc? what should we expect to pay for a one bed with garden around there would you say?

much appreciated

thanks

I live just off Brockley Rise in the same area. It has a good community feel about the area with an active residents association. Honor Oak Park appears to be 'up and coming'. I have lived here for ten years and have made many good friends. The houses are sought after and the transport links are pretty good with the benefit of buses and trains into central london (fairly) regularly. It really does depend on what you are looking for in the area - I certainly would give the area a thumbs up!

I just bought and moved into the area and am loving it so far! I live on devonshire road opposite the station and it's really handy for links to london bridge, although the victoria train goes round the houses a bit!

great - thanks very much. how much would you say would be a fair price for a one bed victorian conversion with a largish garden in good condition? and do you think it will be relatively easy to sell a flat like that on in a few years time? there seem to be lots of young people living in the area which is a good sign.
thanks again!
