We're looking for a snappy title for the FHSoc Newsletter and we thought it would be fun to ask the good folk of SE23 for their ideas. So if you have (sensible) suggestions, do let us know either on this thread or by email to foresthillsociety@gmail.com

News from the Hill?
Hill Street Views, Blues and News?
Uphill and Downwind?

Actually I like Hill to Vale.

Word on the hill?

News of the views? ... instead of news of the screws.

I like Forest Spiel too ;-)

The Forest Hill Chronicle (a bit old fashioned – might sound pompous)

Hill News/Forest Hill News (appropriate but dull)

Posted on the Hill/Post from the Hill (a sort of internet type feel)

The Forest Hill Hugger/The Hill Hugger (might be too green for some)

I think we should resurrect Upper and Lower Dulwich Bottom news. It may even one day get us in the Dulwich orbit.

I think we should stay away from Dulwich and be proud of being Forest Hill. If you want to live in Dulwich, live in Dulwich.

'Vingt-Trois'? Hm, we might get some interest from French Illuminati... (link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/23_%28numerology%29)

On a more serious note, what about 'The View from the Hill'?

yes, I was amused to see the latest Jim Carey horror/thriller ..... 23 (well Number 23 to be precise)

I think we should get the FHS to sue the studio for defamation of postcode

Elizabeth25 - a joke that long time readers will recognise. JOKE. Having said that, East Dulwich seems to ever expand.

Another suggestion; Forest Hill, no, not Gate.

My favourite so far is Hill Informed.
Short, snappy, precise and funny.

Oh, I like Hill Informed as well. I think the newsletter should also have a tag line something like "From Wood Vale to Dacres Road" Or "From Horniman Gardens to Mayow Park: your source for SE23" Or something simliar like that.

"The Hill Informed" impresses me too. But is it TOO self-deprecating??!! Does anybody about there hate it?

Thanks Webmaster - I didn't realise that name was already taken (I live on 'the other side of the tracks', quite a long way from Tewkesbury Lodge!)

Good question Sherwood. BaggyDave is noticeable by his absence in this and other matters. Where are you?

How about a candleit vigil for BD outside the Moor Park Tavern? He would be touched.

Maybe we should start a west side / east side village competition that involves hilarious amounts of cheese? It seems to work for west country villages.

I'm afraid the favourite, Hill Infomred, proved unworkable. Nobody outside the posters on this thread seemed to get the pun, would you believe! So it remains the Forest Hill Newsletter, for the time being at least.
