This is from a report about a fight at Sydenham railway station.

"I was on the train that was travelling from London Bridge to Norwood Junction. Upon arriving at Sydenham Station the doors opened to a hail of bottles and punches from Palace fans, in no way were any Charlton fans involved in the fight. One of my friends was head butted and punched, thankfully I escaped unharmed I'd say there were about 25 thugs all supposidly Palace fans, within 2 minutes they had punched, kicked, and botteled as many as they could and fled.

We informed a Police officer about our friend didn't even take a statement from us."

Sounds like Palace fans, universally unloved wherever they go.

JOKING - for some reason they are detested by every other south east club.

They are always very nice to me when I drink in the Alliance in South Norwood (have a problem getting in the Goat House nowadays), similarly are Charlton when I am in their patch. Not brave enough to drink in Bermondsey on match days yet. Only other place that bothers me is Tottenham, coz it is so damn horrid and they have a policy of not allowing mixing in pubs. And it is difficult to find a nice pub in West Am, and they are all too crowded at Arsenal. Most friendly of fans was actually close to Goodison, though I can't believe I just said that.

No doubt someone has taped it for you tube so you can identify those involved.

I was once on the station at Charlton when they had played Forest (in case you are interested Sherwood). Around a dozen boys from the East (thamesmead or somewhere equally nice) started to taunt the Forest fans. The retorted in good spirit with 'back to school on Monday' and then a couple of cops started to arrest the naughty boys. It was all quite funny.
