Upstaging Nature (you can't see the art for the trees) will be taking place at Sydenham Hill wood Nature Reserve, SE26, on the 25th, 26th and 27th of August.

Open 11am - 6pm with evening events until 10pm on Saturday 25th.

As the largest remaining stretch of Englands 16thC Great North Wood, Sydenham Hill wood is London's best kept secret. Just five miles from the centre of the chaotic capital, the wood juxtaposes timeless beauty with history of social, economic and political change.

Now in celebration of 25 years' successful woodland management by the London Wildlife Trust, over 30 national and international contemporary artists will pay tribute to this unique environment. Upstaging Nature uses the unerring grandeur of the wood to contrast the varying degrees of success with which humans have sought to upstage nature.
