Came across the Palace magazine today -some may be interested to know that the classical concerts at the Lake in August are returning this summer,( 4 of them) with fireworks as appropriate, including a 'last of the summer proms' night. A little pricey at £25 per ticket however it may be just what some people are prepared to pay.

Well into the 90s they were excellent, and not all focused on a massive expensive firework display. Much more relaxed than Kenwood (and less snobby). Then Bromley stopped subsidising them. After the whole debacle of the upper site not a fan of Bromley. £25 is too much if you come with a family, perhaps dispense with the fireworks.

Yes ,its an extortionate price - we won't be able to afford this ourselves however we're fortunate in being able to see the fireworks for free from the top floor of our house. It would be nice if it was a little cheaper, could perhaps afford £15 a head but not £25. Makes you appreciate the Horniman concerts as they are free.
