If you are the kind of person who likes rollercoasters, then I highly recommend flying from London City airport. You can choose your destination, but if, like me, you make it Edinburgh, you get the delights of turbulence not only over the East of London, but also over the Firth of Forth and the Pennines as you come in to land.

Wow! I don't mind a little turbulence, but flying those dinky 30 seater planes in weather like we had today is quite an experience.

I can also report that Geoff Hoon, ex-mate of Tony Blair, took the whole experience very manfully!
