I had a power surge just around that time which knocked out one of the alarm clocks, but all fine now.

Likewise (Cranston Road). All the streetlights came back on for about 20 minutes, too.

Bit of a late response on this one but a related question : Does anyone else in the Brockley View area get flickering lights? I've been there for just over a year and definitely noticed the odd flicker, at least twice a week i'd say..

(To McBain23) yes, we do get frequent flickering and pretty frequent power outages as well! I just put it down to living on top of a blustery hill, although I'm sure that has absolutely no basis in fact Laugh

Thanks Pippi - at least I know it's not something gone awry with our wiring.

You're right about the exposure mind - we live right on the crest of the hill - thought the roof was going to blow off in the recent storms Smile

Short term cut to street lighting on Stanstead/Colfe/Cranston this evening about 2245. Couple of minutes' duration. Domestic lights flickered too.

Apparently this surge was caused by the National Grid as it affected the whole of South London, parts of Surrey and even reports of lights flickering in Hertfordshire.
