In 1890 it had an apostrophe according to the map:


Google Maps also shows it with an apostrophe (see http://goo.gl/maps/vD5Qj)

But the road signs say 'Davids Road' http://goo.gl/maps/zCyJJ

I hope that over the festive period some light-headed person does not take a bottle of tipp-ex to the mistaken signage. I would have to strongly condemn such acts of vandalism.

P.S. Tipp-ex can be purchased from WHSmith, just a short distance from some of these poorly punctuated signs.
