Huge clouds of smoke visible where I usually see the faint plume from the SELCHP incinerator at New Cross Gate. Is the incinerator plant on fire (?!) or is it Millwall Football Ground? No reports of problems on the trains that I can find.

Chingford. You mean Birds of a Feather Land.
How can that look like New Cross Gate . They are like chalk and cheese

Must indeed have been a big fire then. New Cross and Chingford are both a bit east of north from Forest Hill so the direction is right - but Chingford is, according to my estimates, about 8 times as far away - 23km rather than 3!
