Three young men recently broke into a number of houses in our street. Today they came back and were recognised by one of the witnesses to the first set of break-ins. When they noticed they were being observed by residents they became verbally aggressive and left the street. Information that might be of interest is that one of them appears to use crutches...until he needs to make a quick getaway. It is thought the crutches are used to smash windows to gain entry.

Their method appears to be for some or all of them to knock on doors to see which houses appear empty before tipping off 'colleages' at the rear of the properties or going round there themselves.
