I live on Shipman Road and it's lovely - nice and quiet, with Mayow park within easy walking distance, and buses up to the Horniman regularly. And the "greasy spoon" cafe and the bakery down on Perry Vale are very friendly and soon know your name- there's a real community feel to this little enclave.
