I thought the website was rather tacky and lacked local information.

What local information would you like to see, Piglet?

I like the simple layout. Aesthetically my taste gravitates towards simplicity. Google is most pleasing to my eye.
This website is built on the weebly technology so whoever has done it is fairly limited within the weebly parameters.
In the news section there is a lovely little article about our local lad, Timothy Spall.
And another headline that caught my eye further down the page said:
Sydenham School saved from English Heritage listing
Ouch, that's bad news for English Heritage to have a headline like that.

Personally I would prefer to see content which illustrates what the local member of parliament is achieving for local constituents.
Take a look at Heidi Alexander MP's website and you will see the difference.

I am afraid over the years Mr D has got a very good record of towing the party line .

'Affordable housing was at the top of Heidi Alexander’s agenda when she spoke up in the House of Commons about the fate of the Catford dogtrack site.'
First line on Heidi's website... hmm how many years ago did Catford dogs close down. Take it she hasn't 'spoken up' more recently then..according to her website.
shortsighted, biased, antagonistic..who that then lol

Heidi has only been an MP for 9 months, so I think you can be assured that her work as an MP on the matter was fairly recent.

Well seven years, if you bother to read beyond the first line on her website.
What I like about Heidi's site is the rotating banner at the top, where you can watch Heidi photoshoped into various locations around Lewisham. Cool!
I'm sure Jim will be putting the standard disclaimer at the bottom of his website any time now.

Heidi is an excellent and hard working member of parliament.
There are so many bone idle members of parliament as admitted by H Harman recently.

I believe there is an opportunity, sadly arisen I know, to stand as local councillor in Bellingham. I would imagine that Piglet, as a long standing member of the Labour Party and perfectionist when it comes to public service, would consider standing? I think we would be guaranteed an excellent job.

Thanks for your kind comments Roz but I am far too busy with my voluntary commitments to take on the role of Councillor. However I know the Labour Party are always on the look out for people with a big ego so hopefully you will apply. I wish you luck if you do.

But she only answers to the (less girly?) 'Jacq', apparently.
