Call me cynical but I suspect that when Call Me Dave gets the keys to No10, Crossrail will be shelved at best, or more probably cancelled. Look at BB's tenure of City Hall so far and its cuts, cuts, cuts all the way, even in the cycling budget. Also, Tory transport policy has always been to cut rail investment and run down public transport, cutting it and raising fares and there is no reason to believe that they would be any different in the future.
