Herbparis Posts: 161 Joined: Jan 2008	Post: #1 22-02-2024 11:55 PM Saturday 24th February 11:00am - 3:00pm The Friends of Garthorne Road Nature Reserve will be having a Conservation Workday and we will continue to remove invasive species removal as well clematis clearance which is starting to strangle the trees and repair and top-up the dead hedging. Also checking the recently introduced butterfly eggs of the Brown Hairstreak to see if they have been successful If you are interested please book a place using our Eventbrite page Friends of Garthone Road Nature Reserve Conservation Workdays Our workdays will continue every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month until March. Then will only be on the 2nd Saturday thereafter. If you have any questions please get in contact us at reserve e-mail: garthorne.reserve@gmail.com Please bring lunch and drinking water and wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty and sturdy shoes (preferably steel toe cap boots). Bring a packed lunch and a drink if required. Please note there are no toilets on the site you are welcome to find a bush!, if you book a ticket but something comes up and you can no longer attend please let us know.
