Don't know about whether it is socialist or not, but its not an overly democratic country. Majority Conservative Government with what 37% of votes (and no doubt not disimilar for Blair).

The reality of course is that the first past the post Election system will not change, especially as Corbyn has gone left of Foot / Benn making Labour totally unelectable. Why would any Conservative MP support PR? Furthermore, if Cameron loses the EU referendum (not impossible), the Scots will seek independence in EU, leaving the Conservatives in power in Little England ad finitum. Unless the Conservatives split at some point......
