TfL take over responsibility for the ELL extension stations later this year.

According to Julie Dixon, Rail Marketing and Communications Manager for TfL at a meeting with Syd Soc and others last night:

HOP is scheduled for refurbishment and renewal works commencing December 09.

The improvements are to what TfL refers to as 'Phase 3' standard which should include:
New floors and platform surfaces
Installation of entrance canopies (whatever that means) and new signage
CCTV to cover at least 90% of publicly accessible space
new PA systems
Improved inforrmation systems
Passenger help points
Improved lighting

I asked what would be done about the stairs - an answer might come later. I also asked whether the ELL 4 car trains would have to stop at the far end of platform 1. We should get an answer on that at some stage.

Similar improvements are scheduled to start at Forest Hill at the same time and at Sydenham in Feb 2010.
